Guide
A practical client follow-up system that stays lightweight
Use the smallest repeatable workflow that preserves clarity, ownership and history.
Capture only the fields that answer the next question
Keep the Person, unresolved Follow-up, current ownership and specific next action visible. Avoid copying whole conversations when a short outcome-focused note is enough.
Use a steady review cadence
Check Your Turn for actions you owe and Waiting on Them for dependencies. Use a Target date for a real checkpoint and a Reminder for your own nudge.
Finish cleanly
When the outcome arrives, record it and mark the Follow-up Done. Reopen only when the same loop truly needs more work; create a new Follow-up for a new commitment.
